The Head Start program has enrolled more than 23 million students nationwide since its founding in 1965, including tens of thousands of children in the greater Indianapolis area. As you might imagine, it's hard to keep track of everyone who has benefited from this early childhood education program.
Family Development Services, which operates Head Start in Indiana's Marion and Hamilton counties, wants to reach out to area residents who have participated in Head Start programs. If you're a former student or parent/caregiver of a Head Start child, please join our family circle by letting us know who you are and how you benefited from Head Start programming.
Whether you participated in the program in the Indianapolis area or in other parts of the country, we'd like to know your favorite Head Start memory, how the program prepared you or your children for their school years, or just your ideas and recommendations for how we can better support the early education needs of eligible children in the Indianapolis community.
It only takes a minute to complete this form and step into our circle of friends and extended family. Thanks for your support.
